Meditation has been recognised for helping people relax and reduce stress. In particular, it reduces the levels of cortisol (one of the main stress hormones) in the blood, both during and after your session. Meditation helps us to feel calm and relaxed. Recent studies have proved that it also reduces blood pressure and improves the functioning of our immune system. In addition to these physical benefits, there are numerous emotional and psychological benefits. These range from feeling less anxious, more confident, having improved concentration, increased memory and a greater sense of well-being. One of the main benefits of regular meditation is improved sleep and reduction of insomnia.
Michael Snuggs teaches meditation in an easy to learn, enjoyable way. The session starts with the clients seated comfortably in a chair. Michael begins by leading you through a gentle introduction, relaxing the body and the mind. Focussed breathing helps you relax all of your muscles, releasing tension and letting go of the day's stresses and worries. Soon you feel like you are cocooned in a safe space and your mind feels blissfully at peace. The next meditation takes you deeper into relaxation with a guided visualisation. This develops your self-awareness and balances the two hemispheres of the brain.
Never meditated before? Why not book a 121 session to get you started. Different people suit different styles of meditating and in this session, the focus will be on you, so that you get the most out of it. The pace will also be set just right for your requirements.
Experienced meditator? Book your 121 session to gain further insights and deepen your experiences. Michael will share with you the latest technologies and enhance your skills.

- Relaxation exercise – letting go of the stresses of the day, relaxing all of the body and deepening the breath.
- Breathing exercises to help calm the body and still the mind.
- Visualisation technique - to deepen the relaxation and stimulate the creative (right) side of our brain.
